If this your first time getting eyelash extensions, you will need to fill out the consultation form and waiver. This form asks crucial questions so that we can make sure that lashes will be a good fit for you. A full set of lashes can take over two hours so we recommend going to the washroom beforehand as once you’re set up its hard to get up.  If your appointment is in the morning, try not to drink coffee so that you can relax and not be jittery throughout the appointment.

First thing we do is the consult, talking with you about what you want and answer any questions you may have. Eyelash extensions come in different lengths, curls and thickness. This allows us to create a customized lash set that will not damage your natural lashes.

After the consult we cleanse the lashes with a cleanser and rinse with water. We use a special hydrogel pad to hold your bottom lahes down so that we can work only on your top lashes.   We isolate each lash with an isolating tweezer and apply the extension on the natural lash with a different pair of tweezers. This process is a special skill and takes time to complete. It’s best if you relax and most people usually have a quick nap while we work on them.

After the lashes are complete we use a special mister that creates 100% humidity and cures the lash glue. There is a common mis-understanding about lash extensions and water, many technicians were taught not to get your lashes wet for 24 hours. Thanks to Doug Schoon a bio chemist specializing in beauty products, he has taught us this isn’t true at all. He actually reccomends washing lashes immediatley after the service.

It’s always best to do a patch test for eyelash extensions to make sure your a good candiate. We do this by applying a few lash extensions on the lashes then leave them for a couple days. If there is no reaction then we go ahead with a full set! Never hesitate to ask your technician any questions that you may have!
